Great Field Service Engineer Opportunity!!

Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer, you will assist our Engineering team in testing, troubleshooting, installing, and commissioning machines for our customers. You will also provide services for our existing machines in the field. This role requires traveling to customer sites and working with various automation machinery and PLC systems.

ResponsibilitiesTravel to customer sites to provide field service support.Troubleshoot and service mostly Allen Bradley PLCs and some Siemens PLCs and drives.Install and commission automation machinery into mills.Read and interpret electrical schematics for troubleshooting and installation.Provide excellent customer service.Essential SkillsExperience with Allen Bradley PLCs and PLC troubleshooting.Experience in commissioning and installing electrical systems and machinery.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.Experience with servomotors and servo drives.Familiarity with HMI and AC/DC motors.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or a similar field) with 2-3 years of field experience OR an Associate's Degree in Electrical (or a similar field) with 2+ years of field service experience.Experience troubleshooting PLCs or similar types of PLCs.Experience with drives from Allen Bradley, Siemens, or ABB.Experience in the metal, steel, or aluminum industry is a plus.Work Environment

This position requires approximately 75% travel, primarily concentrated in the eastern U.S. regions such as Pittsburgh, Indiana, Cleveland, Michigan, Kentucky, West Virginia, Mississippi, and Texas. Travel may extend up to a month at a time, followed by a few weeks off. While on-site, you will have the option to use a company vehicle or your own vehicle with mileage reimbursement at $0.56/mile. You will also be eligible for a per diem of $55/day. This role cannot be performed remotely and requires presence in Cleveland when not traveling. You will work in a family-based environment with opportunities for training and development from experienced engineers and involvement in engineering projects led by the company's owners.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.08
