Field Service Engineer

Description

Summary: Provide technical support and troubleshooting to service to customers over the phone, virtually, and at their facilities to install, repair, and optimize their equipment.

JOB DUTIES:

- Systematically and efficiently analyze, troubleshoot, and restore function to equipment

- Commission equipment and follow standard procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and successful handoff

- Review work completed, costs, time, and additional work identified while on site with manager and customer as needed

- Create thorough and detailed service reports that include description of visit, work completed, costs, time, and additional work identified

- Conduct customer training relating to the operation and maintenance of equipment and products

- Lead and train less experience personnel as needed

- Follow standardized procedures

- Collect requisite information to create standardized procedures when opportunities are identified

- Write, program, and troubleshoot PLCs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUSTS:

- 3+ years of field service experience

- Knowledge of electrical components (high voltage 480V/220V, low voltage, fuses, relays, contactors, motors)

- Basic understanding of mechanical assemblies (conveyors, sprockets, belts, pulleys, gearboxes, pumps)

- Experience with injection molding/extrusion or process molding equipment

- Knowledge of pneumatic conveying and troubleshooting (controls, actuators, and valves)

- Ability to read electrical schematics

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00
