Field Service Engineer
Job Title: Field Service EngineerJob Description Utilizes electromechanical skills to provide excellent service to customers. Performs installation and troubleshooting on vacuum pumps, abatement, gas, and chemical delivery systems to maintain and increase revenue for both service and sales divisions. Participates in site safety programs to create a zero-hazard environment. Works professionally and develops customer relations. Demonstrates ability to understand detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Understands and adheres to all site fab and Subfab protocol requirements. Comprehends the use of test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools. Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance; works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. Respectfully takes direction from supervisors; other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Field service experience + Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair + Ability to read schematics/diagrams + Electromechanical experience + High School Diploma + Associates degree or full military equivalent + 1-3 years of equivalent experience in a relevant technical field such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration, or basic vacuum. + Positive attitude, energetic and enthusiastic + Strong willingness to learn and commitment to excellence + Self-starter who can set priorities and demonstrate initiative + Ability to follow instructions and exercise good independent judgment + Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams + Competent use of test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools + Basic computer skills including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Additional Skills & Qualifications + Excellent customer interfacing and communication skills + Ability to work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods + Completion of training to work at height using approved fall protection equipment + Successful completion of Physical Capability assessment + Clean driving record + Fluency in written and spoken English + Ability to speak distinctly and see/hear clearly Work Environment The position is based at the TSMC site near Deer Valley NW Phoenix, involving physical workload for installing/decommissioning semiconductor tools. The work environment includes working while wearing a respirator and in a subfab/cleanroom environment. Candidates should be prepared to wear a respirator for at least 2 hours and must wear steel-toed boots. The role may require walking 9-10 miles a day and lifting up to 50 lbs. Contractors should be open to about 5% travel, with potential travel to other sites such as Oregon or New Mexico if work slows down locally. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $33.60/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
