Field Service Engineer - Africa Johannesburg, City of Johannesburg, South Africa Pretoria, City of Tshwane, South Africa **Field Service Engineer – Africa** **Role Location – Johannesburg, South Africa or Lusaka, Zambia** We are excited to be looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team in Africa. We're looking for people who have technical engineering experience (electrical/mechanical) ideally from within a medical device background and who are happy to be in the field travelling primarily across South Africa, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Zambia & Zimbabwe to support our Customers and Service Providers. To service the territory successfully you will be based around Johannesburg or Pretoria area in South Africa or around Lusaka in Zambia. In this role you will represent Hologic and provide best in class service support and guidance to our Customers, Distributors and Service Providers to achieve excellent customer satisfaction. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + Carry out maintenance and repair work on Hologic products + Install instruments at customer sites + Be the go-to person for Hologic’s Distributors and Service Providers and recognized as the solution owner + Work collaboratively with commercial partners to find solutions to both technical and business issues + Strategically help Hologic’s Distributors to assemble their FSE organization to provide excellent service to customers + Perform duties and responsibilities with autonomy in a field-based environment KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE + Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems + Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills + Experience working in similar/comparable customer-based environment + Effective Time Management Skills + Ability to accurately diagnose issues as described over the phone by Field Service Engineers/Customers + Proficient use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) + Proficient in using various data visualization tools and techniques to monitor training, development projects and prioritize actions + Flexible and adaptable to embrace new challenges and quickly adjust to new sales & marketing strategies in order to meet business needs + Fluency in spoken and written English So why join Hologic?
