The Field Service Engineer is responsible for servicing and qualifying our customer’s biopharma equipment such as liquid chromatography, filter integrity and cell culturing equipment (for example ÄKTA, FlowStar, Xcellerex). You will be working in laboratories and pharmaceutical production plants on customer sites, and will be responsible for performance of customer visits, including customer coordination, travel planning and ordering spare parts. You will be expected to take part in our 24/7 stand-by team.
This position reports to the Zone Manager and is part of the Nordic field service team with 20 engineers across Sweden, Finland, Lithuania, and Denmark. This is a field role where you will support local customers in Reykjavik, Iceland, but also travel to customers in the rest of Nordics and Baltics. On a part time basis, you will work as part of our online support engineer team. You will be home office based.
What you will do:
+ Plan & perform preventive maintenance, repair and installation visits
+ Plan & perform qualifications (IQ/OQ)
+ Promptly complete and return relevant paperwork (and electronic evidence) associated
Who you are:
+ Background in Biotechnology, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electronics, or any related technical/scientific experience. This can come from a Bachelor's degree, Associate’s degree, military experience, or an equivalent technical education or professional experience.
+ Fluent in English
+ Good communication and social skills, and effective organizational and administrative skills
+ Valid driving license and EU work permit with ability to travel extensively within Nordics and Baltics
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Fluent in Icelandic or any other Nordic languages
+ Experience of chromatography or cell culturing products
+ Experience in troubleshooting mechanics, electronics, software/computers/networks or fluid handling systems
+ Experience of working in laboratory or clean room environment
