The Field Service Engineer II - IMAGING, provides specialty medical equipment services primarily on various high end Imaging equipment within assigned region. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, performing preventive maintenance inspections, installation support, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance and life-cycle management on some high-end specialty imaging modalities (MRI, CT, Cath Lab, X-ray, Nuc-med) and multiple low-end modalities (Ultrasound, injectors) as needed.
This individual shall be competent in the use of all applicable test equipment and tools required in the performance of the duties and be able to teach and coach others as needed. The Field Service Engineer will ensure compliance with changes in regulations, policies and procedures set by national and state regulatory bodies.
Responsible to ensure that all scheduled work is accomplished on time, customer needs are met, and the day-to-day operations impacting revenue are communicated as needed and appropriate resources are utilized to minimize any service interruptions. The position also has service support scheduling and vendor management responsibility. Individual shall be required to provide regional technical support for resolving difficult equipment issues. This individual shall be responsible to mentor, instruct, assist, and provide on the job training to less experience Field service engineers and technicians. Individual shall be required to assist corporate team with analytical review of inventory and service history along with auditing and reviewing service contracts with OEM and third-party vendors.

Qualifications Master’s degree in biomedical/electrical engineering technology or related discipline with 3 years’ experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment or Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience required.Formal certification of training (OEM or third-party training center) in the medium to high-end imaging modalitiesWorking knowledge of Networking, PACS and DICOM standards requiredKnowledge of Associated tools and test equipment.Demonstrate mechanical diagnostic troubleshooting and repair skills in a timely manner.Willingness to cross-train other team members Familiar with the Healthcare Industry understanding roles in various department and users.Support policies and procedures of Prime Healthcare.Professional appearance and behavior.Communicate effectively, share knowledge, proactively complete tasks, and cooperate in a team environment.Maintain a valid DL with good driving record.Travel to Prime Healthcare Hospitals in Illinois and possible outside Illinois as required.Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
