Serves an account level representative, managing key performance indicators, vendor relationships, and compliance requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manages, directs, and schedules day-to-day and long-range activities for defined Pharma Services scope and ensures that all programs and procedures of the Pharma Services staff are being properly implemented. Reviews work to ensure compliance with performance, safety, statutory, regulatory requirements, company policies, standards, and procedures. Supports the development and administration of department budget. Reviews and approves all expenditures for tools, equipment, supplies, materials and additional contract requirements. Processes performance metrics; tracks, analyzes, and reports performance in terms of quality, safety, cost, and customer satisfaction. Takes corrective action to bring about required change and ensures contract requirements have been executed at a level above the specified standards. Manages contractor specifications, problems/issues, performance, and administration. Ensures supply of spare parts and consumables for in-scope Pharma Services. Manages the day-to-day operations, ensuring services are provided in a cost-effective, safe, timely, and compliant manner in accordance with the approved budget and the contractual obligations specified by the customers. Performs other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering. Minimum of 6-8 years related experience managing in regulated laboratory and/or manufacturing pharmaceutical environments. Five years relevant field experience in laboratory and / or manufacturing pharmaceutical or equivalent regulated environments required. Knowledge of analytical instrument maintenance and / or laboratory technical services. applicable regulatory guidelines and audit experience. Previous supervisory experience CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES None COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action. FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Experience with Desktop publishing, Microsoft Office Suite, and Online Help. Through understanding and knowledge of national and international standards relating to metrology quality systems. Demonstrated use and understanding of physical standards of mass, temperature, flow and pressure. Demonstrable skills in analytical instrument maintenance and / or laboratory technical services. Responsible for setting department deadlines. The minimum salary for the Field Service Engineer position is $75,000 annually and the maximum salary is $90,000 annually.
