Field Service Engineer - Marine & PowerGen Aftermarket

Position Summary:

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for performing on-site surveys for Regal Rexnord end users within the Marine & PowerGen Aftermarkets. They will create customer presentations to summarize their findings and encourage MRO business for worn product. Excellent written and verbal skills are required to produce detailed reports in a timely manner. A qualified candidate will be able to self-manage their time, arrange and book their own travel, and comfortably flex to adapt based on customer demands and availability. They will also be comfortable interfacing with our customers and sales teams directly, being the face of Regal Rexnord as they collect detailed data. Time between surveys will be utilized to improve survey efficiency, develop tools to effectively close opportunities generated by surveys, and support the application engineering team as needed.

Major Responsibilities:

Supervise and conduct coupling inspections and replacements at site (onboard vessels and shore based powerplants).Provide technical support to our global customer base and maintains excellent client relations on all levels of their organization.Support development and drive implementation of aftermarket strategy.Conduct technical trainings to strategic distributors and selected end-users (on-site and web-based).Has full responsibility for planning, execution and reporting of service jobs globally.Spare parts and service jobs quotation and order handling in ERO system.Gather and document information in the field with attention to detail.Maintain a safe working environment.Read and measure survey equipment.Performs various survey calculations.Develops and maintains sales promotion documentation.Maintains the Service database and upholds documentation and standardization of work.Learns relevant Regal Rexnord product lines and be able to positively identify product in the field.Provide customer with assistance for product identification and selection.Regularly interfaces with Sales and Engineering teams as well as customers and distribution partners.Able to book travel arrangements (flight, hotel, car) and responsibly use a company credit card for meals and work-related expenses.Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or combination of experience and education.Minimum of 3 years of comparable experience, including co-op assignments.Experience in a technical field serviceSolid mechanical aptitude.Comfortable with problem solving basic mechanical issues on the fly.Ability to conduct onboard service jobs in a safe and efficient manner.Previous experience from marine industry is a plus.

Travel:

Travel up to 40% of the timeGlobal travel on short notice may be required. Limitations in obtaining necessary travel visas must be informed in application
