About the Role
In this role, the Field Engineer Turbomachinery Controls will be expected to install, troubleshoot, operate and configure HONEYWELL/ CCC products and systems at customer sites. Additionally, the Field Engineer will instruct HONEYWELL/ CCC customers in specific, appropriate product usage.
The Field Engineer- Turbomachinery will exhibit genuine interest in solving work problems through proactively asking questions, clearly communicating and collaborating both internally and externally to grow the business. In addition, the Field Engineer is responsible for understanding our competition and customers, and showing initiative to learn and continuously improve company processes.
This role can be based out of Des Moines or Houston.
The Field Service Engineer will begin their career with HONEYWELL/ CCC training in Des Moines or Houston for approximately six months to one year. After that, the Field Service Engineer will travel 80% domestically/ 20% internationally 60% of the time. The remaining time will be spent in the office in Des Moines or Houston (depending on where the individual lives).

MUST HAVE
3+ years of previous work experience with turbo machinery control systems (Compressors, Steam / Gas Turbines, Expanders, Generators) and Process controlExperience with pre-commissioning activities of gas turbinesExperience training others and collaborating across departments to provide ongoing support \nWE VALUE
\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a four-year college or universityProficiency in computers and networking. Programming skills are a plusAbility to apply advanced mathematical concepts and operations to effectively complete specific projects and tasksExperience with safety systems and / or TUV certified is a plus.Certified to work offshore or willing and capable to complete the required training\nWORKING CONDITIONS
60 percent or more of travel per year expected. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Extensive domestic and international travel is required.
