Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Field Service Manager to oversee and manage conveyor system installation and maintenance projects at client sites. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on assistance, ensure compliance with project specifications, and supervise on-site project teams. This role requires extensive travel and a strong background in the conveyor industry.
ResponsibilitiesManage conveyor system installation and maintenance projects at client sitesCommunicate project status, risks, and issues to clients and internal teamsProvide hands-on assistance to Millwrights & Electricians on client site to ensure proper decommissioning & installation of conveyor systemsEnsure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standardsSupervise on-site project teams for project and client compliance, including contractors and subcontractorsResolve any project-related issues that may arise and develop contingency plans when necessarySupervise and instruct field service technicians to ensure scope of work is being met on time, budget, and to client expectationsProvide training and support to clients on conveyor system operations and maintenanceMaintain accurate project documentation and reportsPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisorEssential Skills5+ years of experience in management, preferably in the conveyor industryStrong leadership and interpersonal skillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and schematicsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentWillingness to travel frequently to client sites, up to 90% of the timeAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School or GED equivalentPost high school certification/degree in machining preferred3 years’ experience in the precision metal working machineryUnderstanding of Spanish is a plusAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office productsAbility to navigate and work within company’s ERP and CRM softwareProficient to excellent typing skillsExperience with the person products and Intralox Sorters a plusWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. They will be working at various client facilities and must follow all EH&S requirements set by those facilities. Safety is a key priority. The role requires standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The employee will be exposed to materials that have SDS sheets but are not life-threatening.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Clinton, Ohio.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
