Field Service Representative
Iwakuni, Japan
As the Field Service Representative you will serve as the primary point of contact to resolve issues arising from integration and operation of LiftSystem components. Provide technical guidance and advice in the evaluation of LiftSystem problems and to render technical assistance. Principle location will be at Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni.

Key Accountabilities:
Be the initial point of customer contact for LiftSystem issues at MCAS Iwakuni and all other USMC operating areas in theater. As required, provide assistance to Pratt & Whitney and government personnel on technical issues which include: LiftSystem/Aircraft interface issues, Lift System troubleshooting, LiftSystem maintenance, LiftSystem repairs, and logistic support. If contacted directly by the operator (USMC) – ensure that Pratt & Whitney are aware and are involved in issue resolution.Ensure that all operational events are captured and recorded in Maximo to support data gathering activities and transfer as necessary to meet the requirements of the program. (Allows RR to meet contract requirements by establishing root cause of operational impact with a view to minimize in the future). Provide Pratt and Whitney onsite team with regular status updates, including closure statements and any corrective action as required.Review proposed engineering changes with the view of minimizing adverse impact on the product in the field. Provide regular status updates to onsite Pratt & Whitney representatives as required to ensure efficient coordination of the planned changesMaintain status on Rolls-Royce deliveries of flight hardware, modification kits, support equipment, containers and spares, reporting any anomalies for resolution. Provide on-site Pratt & Whitney representatives with regular updates as required.Travel on short notice domestically or internationally in support of campaigns, AOG support, and customer requests. Backfill other FSR in the event of absences, temporary duty away from home station, etc. Ensure adequate notice is provided to Pratt & Whitney site manager or team member of any off-site support that results in an on-site Rolls-Royce personnel change or absence.Assist in interpretation and refinement of Rolls-Royce maintenance and repair instructions, damage acceptance and repair limits, Lift System modification accomplishment instructions, referring issues for resolution to Rolls-Royce Engineering and logistic staff as required.Ensure TV and AR reporting are provided to Rolls-Royce, (including issues relating to support equipment), providing supplementary information as required.Ensure Rolls-Royce office facilities, including IT and communications at Beaufort are maintained through appropriate liaison with Rolls-Royce functional and project management.Provide regular status reports of FSR activity in support of F35 Flight Operations.Support Lead FSR in executing Deployed Services and JSF Program responsibilities.Basic Requirements:
Associates Degree and 4+ years’ experience, including experience in Customer Support; OrBachelor’s Degree and 2+ years’ experience, including experience in Customer Support; OrMaster’s Degree or JD /PhD; Or6+ years of experience in lieu of degreeTo be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain secret security clearance, which requires USA CitizenshipPioneer the next generation of innovation.
