Team or Function Overview
The Field Services team supports and partners with internal and external stakeholders to provide best in class installation and services of our commercial and residential roofing products. This team supports the entire GAF product line for commercial and residential with additional support for Siplast, GAF Energy and other Standard Industries businesses as needed. This position will be based in Seattle, WA Metro Area but will support the entire Western area to include Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Washington; and reports to the Area Director Field Services or Regional Manager Field Services as applicable.
Summary
The Field Services Representative performs the day to day services within their assigned area/region. Responsibilities in this position include performing and completing roof inspections, performing specialized tasks to resolve problems, and providing weekly activity reports within the region. He/she is responsible for prioritizing, scheduling and performing warranty, guarantee and complaint inspections within the area of assigned responsibility without direct supervision. The Field Service Representative will obtain a drone certification within the first 6 months.
Essential Duties
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Completes roof Inspections including leak and complaint inspectionsTravels to neighboring areas to complete roof inspectionsPrioritizes open inspection requests to formulate a productive scheduleCompletes Commercial and Residential Roof inspections including: start ups, interims and finalsCompletes leak and complaint inspections as assignedAssists in problem resolution, complaints and provide proper written communication to internal and external business partners and owners/customersProvides technical assistance to internal and external business partnersCompletes timely reports for all completed inspectionsPhysical Demands
Ability to drive a vehicle & travel unassisted, such as air travelAbility to frequently work in a stationary position for long periods; ability to frequently move about to accomplish tasks or to move from one work area to anotherAbility to work in outdoor conditions including high/low temperatures, dust, humidity, etc.Ability to wear/work in PPEClose & far visual acuity to view documents, computer screens, perform inspections, drive a vehicle, etc.Ability to frequently & quickly converse with & convey information to others via phone & in-personAbility to perceive hazards & quickly respond to sounds on jobsites to demonstrate building enclosure applications, etc. & in manufacturing plant and lab environmentsManual dexterity to operate standard office equipment & keyboards, perform data entry, filing, application demos, & site inspectionsAbility to position self to bend, pull, & reach overhead &/or below shoulder level to perform filing duties, climb ladders, perform application demos, etc,Ability to work with heights; ascend/descend ladders, scaffolding, & stairsAbility to position self to move safely over even & uneven surfacesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently (demo supplies, application tools, products, etc.)Under This Roof, We Require
