Milacron is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team in <Batavia, OH>. As a Field Service Technician for Automation / Robotics Programming and Troubleshooting, you will be responsible for providing quality Robot Startup Assistance and Training for our Customer installations, maintenance, and repairs of our full line of 3 Axis and 5 Axis Gantry Robots, along with other automation complimenting the automation cell. Breakdowns will require troubleshooting of mechanical, software, and electrical components and circuits.
Work You’ll Do:
Robot Programming / Integration of the Robot Automation Cell to the Plastic Injection Molding Machinery, both on-site at customer’s plants throughout the US and Mexico, or in Milacron’s plant in Batavia, OH.Effective and professional on-site customer training of Robot Programming Process during startup phase of automation cell installation.Troubleshoot and repair of automation systems on-site at customer’s plant or in Milacron’s plant in Batavia, OH.Effectively interface with customers in repairing equipment as needed.Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs.Install software programs to robot control programs.Other duties may be assigned.Team:
This role will be part of the Aftermarket Service team and report directly to the Service Business Manager.Basic Qualifications:
Associate degree in robotics, industrial electricity, electronic engineering technology, or other related field, or combination of equivalent training and experience.2+ years of experience working with Robotics / and Automation, and/or similar skillsets.Willingness to travel and work overtime as necessary.Possess an active driver’s license and free of any restrictions related to driving offenses and based on initial and annual driver MVR reviews as defined by our fleet policy.Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience working with Robotics Programming and Integration with plastic injection/extrusion equipment or similar types of equipment or machine tool.Mechanical, electrical, software programming for automationAbility to read mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.Physical Demands:
