Field Service Tech

The Installation Technician is responsible for installing and setting up equipment within the allocated time for each task. When in the office, they may also be assigned to support other tasks such as Help Desk, Manufacturing, and Quality Control.

Duties and responsibilities

Properly, timely, and efficiently install equipment and/ or upgrades at a customer’s facility Professionally interface with the customer keeping them informed during the site visit Properly test and confirm all features and functions perform as designed on the system Follow proper escalation policies and procedures Monitor and test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved

Qualifications

Ability to travel up to 100% - with the company paying flight, hotel, and per diem Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives Exceptional written and oral communication skills Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills Strong documentation skills Ability to work on and familiarity with multiple NPI systems and advanced PC knowledge. Familiarity with NPI Shared drive resources and how to access them Ability to read, and interpret schematics and machine drawings. Ability to conduct research into a wide range of issues as required Ability to absorb and retain information quickly Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language to non-technical staff and end users Keen attention to detail Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Exceptional customer service orientation Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Competent in basic computer functionality Ability to manage time, self-motivated, and  work independently
