Field Service Technician – Material Handling Equipment (100% Travel)
Location: NJ, NY, MA, NH, or PA (Must reside in one of these states)
Travel: throughout Northeast US (ME to VA, occasionally nationwide)
ABOUT THE ROLE
\nHoneywell is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our field service team. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful on-site installation, servicing, and repair of complex material handling equipment and systems, including conveyors, palletizers, and robots. If you're passionate about troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working with advanced technology, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
\nThis position involves extensive travel across the Northeast U.S., including states from Maine to Virginia and occasionally nationwide.
\nThe ideal candidate must be based in one of the following states: New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Pennsylvania. A company vehicle will be provided.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n\nPerform installation, servicing, and repair of material handling systems, including conveyors, palletizers, and robots.\nTroubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems with minimal supervision.\nProgram and service Allen Bradley PLCs using Rockwell Software.\nFollow detailed work instructions and collaborate with engineering teams to update or amend outdated instructions.\nContinuously improve training guides and documentation for both internal teams and customers.\nProvide on-site customer training on equipment usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures.\nEnsure customer satisfaction by promptly addressing any challenges related to equipment delivery and installation. \n\nCompensation information
\nThe annual base salary range for this position is $62,200-$93,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
YOU MUST HAVE
\n\nAt least 1 year of experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.\nHands-on experience working with conveyor systems.\nValid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent. \n\nWE VALUE
\n\nPrevious experience in the material handling industry.\nExperience with installation and technical service of equipment.\nAllen Bradley PLC or similar experience.\nRockwell Automation software experience.\nStrong communication skills (written and verbal).\nAbility to identify and correct mistakes in technical documentation and instructions.\nA college degree or technical/professional certifications are a plus. \n\nBENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL
