Your role and responsibilities
Perform Service tasks, identify technical problems, and make analysis through remote or on-site activity in any Service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades and retrofits, end of life services, replacements, etc.)Contribute to customer satisfaction by executing Service work according to customer order and expectation; create and maintain a good relationship with customers and understand their needs, identifying new sales opportunities and communicating them internallyCoordinate, prepare, and ensure that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activitiesPrepare all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative, reporting work done in a timely manner and following up when neededProactively identify potential equipment failures, request proactive corrective actions, and troubleshoot equipment failure and make recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the futureProactively identify suggestions for product and quality improvement and communicate them further in the ABB organization, providing recommendations to management to improve operations and customer serviceApply safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities, reporting unsafe practices and incidents
Qualifications for the roleBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology OR equivalent military experience OR Associates Degree with 2 or more year's experience in servicing critical power equipmentWill consider High School Diploma/GED and 10 or more years’ experienceAdvanced level ability to interact and communicate (written and verbal) information to varying levels within the organizationAdvanced level of ability to use Microsoft Office productsModerate ability to self-Project Manage using MS Project or ExcelAdvanced ability to write test plans and reports detailing test resultsCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
