Field Service Technician

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Proseal team. Your role as Field Service Engineer reports into our Service Manager and is critical to ensure we maintain excellent service levels on site and support our customers the best way possible. Your role is to fix machines or perform planned maintenance out in the field. We would like you to have a caring approach to customer service and be someone who brings ideas on how we can do things better. You will perform Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) service work on our machinery and tooling and conduct on-site commissioning of machines, conveyors, tooling, and custom machinery You'll provide on-site support in breakdown situations and join our 24/7 service rota (we ensure this is shared fairly among the team) While on-site you will deliver operator and technical training for our client and respond to their requests looking for support from the team when needed If problems and potential defect trends arise, report these in helping ongoing improvement of our machinery Your role will be to develop customer relationships and maintain these, to enhance client retention and satisfaction Health & Safety is important to us and your safety comes first, we will expect you to follow all statutory JBT health and safety requirements to maintain a safe work environment Experience required and desired... A completed apprenticeship in either a mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent or an NVQ level 3 in electrical installation or maintenance You will need to be a driver and hold a valid UK driving license, plus have a current passport as international travel may be required. Be PC literate with an ability to create, modify and maintain documents We would like a working knowledge of pneumatic systems PLC system knowledge and understand motion control systems, servo motors and frequency invertors a bonus Travel & Location This position is hybrid as we ask that you travel approximately 65% of the time, coming to site when required. #LI-SW1 #LI-Hybrid Why work at JBT ...
