Job Description
As a Field Service Technician, you will travel to client sites, with 70% of your time spent around the Des Moines metro area and the remaining time within Iowa. There is no overnight travel required for this position. You will work closely with engineers on the startup and commission of customer systems in the electronic, electrical, and pneumatic space. Your role will include following drawing packages and updating them as needed, setting up workstations with all necessary software, communicating project updates and timelines with the project manager, and troubleshooting any issues during startup and maintenance.

You will work onsite at various locations including customer sites, datacenters, and schools. Although there is an office in Johnston, technicians rarely need to go into the office. You will have access to a company truck, tools, computer, and phone. There will be occasional collaboration with other technicians depending on the size of the project, but a lot of independent work is expected. There is occasional overtime, especially during project commissioning, which will be compensated at time and a half.
