**Job Title: Field Service Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician who will be responsible for building machines and troubleshooting customers' machinery. This role requires expertise in wiring electrical panels, reading electrical prints, and troubleshooting machinery using PLCs. The technician will be trained on the machines they are building and will communicate with customers to provide technical assistance. This position involves domestic travel for customer support. **Responsibilities** + Build and troubleshoot customers' machinery. + Wire electrical panels and read electrical prints (expert level, European AutoCAD blueprints). + Troubleshoot machinery using PLCs. + Communicate with customers to provide technical assistance. + Use various manuals, drawings, blueprints, and schematics to troubleshoot mechanical equipment. + Coordinate parts, documents, and follow-up resulting from service calls, emails, and field trips. + Travel domestically to customer locations 4-6 days per month. + Act as a contact for service calls, emails, and customer visits. **Essential Skills** + Experience in troubleshooting machinery. + Experience with machine rebuilds and assembly. + Expertise in PLCs. + Ability to wire electrical panels. + Good driving record and a valid passport. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Travel experience. + Experience in GMP or food industry. + 60/40 mechanical/electrical skills. + Service experience. **Why Work Here?** You will be part of a fast-paced, clean, and well-maintained environment. The company manufactures food processing equipment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frankfort, Illinois.
