Job Title: Field Service Technician

Job Description

The Field Service Technician will travel 70-80% of their time, primarily during the week from Monday to Friday. The role involves the start-up and commissioning of equipment, setting up networks in the plant, industrial networking, and PLC and HMI programming for water systems. The technician will ensure everything is running properly and troubleshoot any issues that arise. The equipment is primarily pre-programmed and built; the technician will support formal setup and installation, including making minor programming changes or modifications. If the candidate has strong programming skills, additional projects involving more programming will be available. When not traveling, the technician can work remotely or onsite at the Waunakee office. The candidate needs to be located near Madison/southern Wisconsin or northern Illinois.

The Field Service Technician will work for a system integrator specializing in municipalities and wastewater, as well as electrical contracting for suppliers. The team supports building equipment in a UL panel shop and participates in public bids for municipal projects with engineering design processes. The role involves creating control panels for wastewater plants, motor control centers, setting up networks in plants, industrial networks, PLC and HMI programming, and radio telemetry networks. When not traveling, the technician can work remotely or at the office. The position includes a company vehicle equipped with necessary tools, state-limit per-diem for meals and hotels, a company credit card, and a gas card.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $124800.00

They will offer a company vehicle, tools and per-diem. typical benefits also include: 401k, 75% paid health insurance, 2-4 weeks of PTO depending on experience
