Field Service Technician
Job Title: Calibration TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Calibration Technician to join our team, supporting life sciences companies across the nation. This role involves working onsite with customers to support new equipment calibration for an engineering center in Columbus. The successful candidate will work alongside other calibration engineers and technicians and report to an engineering manager. Responsibilities + Complete calibrations, qualifications, and preventive maintenance with accurate and timely GxP documentation, following specific policies and procedures. + Perform flow, conductivity, pH, mass, and dimensional calibrations with guidance. + Identify potential new opportunities for the company while at client sites and relay leads back to the Leader/Manager. + Complete timesheets with correct labor code charges weekly and assist other associates in proper coding of time and expenses. + Handle and maintain company and client equipment, including testing and standards equipment. + Learn to troubleshoot and perform repairs, focusing on scheduled calibrations and maintenance events. + Identify and report any safety issues at the work site and educate peers on safety practices. Essential Skills + Two-year degree in engineering or equivalent military training. + Experience calibrating industrial equipment such as gauges, temperatures, flow, pumps, and electronics. + Experience working with multiple machines within a manufacturing environment. + Electrical experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + CCST certification is a plus. + Field service roles involving travel for equipment calibration. + Pharma equipment experience is advantageous but not required. Work Environment This position is onsite in an industrial environment and may require up to 50% travel to surrounding states, including Ohio and Michigan. Travel expenses will be covered by the company, and travel will only occur during the week, ensuring weekends at home. Initially, travel may not be required for a few years due to the large scale of the current project. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $39.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
