Job Description
As a Field Service Technician, you will identify customer needs and maintain the account relationship between the client and the chemical sales team. You will oversee the daily cycle and implementation of chemical feed equipment, which includes installation, maintenance, and repair. Additionally, you will conduct various laboratory tests on chemical samples, report the results, and ensure proper inventory levels daily.
ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily cycle and implementation of chemical feed equipment.Install, maintain, and repair chemical feed equipment.Conduct laboratory testing on chemical samples and report results.Ensure proper inventory levels daily.Build and maintain strong communication and relationships between the client and the sales team.Work in an industrial mill environment, performing duties related to chemical analysis and maintenance.Perform routine lab testing and shift work.Be available for on-call duties during weekends and outside regular working hours.Essential SkillsTechnical skills in chemistry, microbiology, and chemical testing.Experience with laboratory and chemical testing.Ability to work in industrial or manufacturing environments.Mechanical aptitude and experience with heavy machinery, electrical systems, HVAC, and industrial maintenance.Proficiency in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsDegree in Chemistry or a related field is strongly preferred.Previous experience in industrial environments such as pulp and paper manufacturing.Familiarity with wet chemistry, pump assembly, and millwork.Experience with hydraulics and field service operations.Comfortable working in a papermill environment and willing to work weekends as needed.Work Environment
The work environment is in a papermill and industrial setting with very hot working conditions. You will be on your feet for most of the day and perform repetitive lab testing and routine shift work. Candidates must be available for on-call duties during weekends and be ready to work at any hour if needed. The organization offers 40 hours of PTO and 6 holidays, with opportunities for growth in the chemical industry.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00
