Job Title: Field Service Technician
Job Description

The company is looking to bring on a Field Service Technician to help service water pumps at various municipal sites and wastewater treatment plants within a roughly 200-mile radius of Richmond. The ideal candidate will be strong in repairing electrical controls, 3-phase motors (up to 460V), diagnosing and testing electric motor cores and VFDs up to 450 HP, and PLC troubleshooting.

ResponsibilitiesService water pumps at municipal sites and wastewater treatment plants.Repair electrical controls and 3-phase motors up to 460V.Diagnose and test electric motor cores and VFDs up to 450 HP.Troubleshoot PLCs and other electrical systems.Ensure proper voltage regulation and control panel functionality.Conduct circuit board and panel wiring repairs.Travel to client sites to perform service work.Essential SkillsExperience with repair of electrical controls.Knowledge of 3-phase motors up to 460V.Ability to diagnose and test electric motor cores and VFDs up to 450 HP.Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting.Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsAny prior experience in wastewater treatment is a plus.Any sort of electrical background is beneficial.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment can be relatively dirty, as technicians will be working in wastewater treatment plants. The job will involve exposure to hot, cold, and wet conditions. Travel is required, but the goal is to have workers home by nighttime. If overnight stays are necessary, the company provides a company card covering meals, hotel, and gas for the company vehicle. Typical working hours are from 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday, but longer days and occasional overnight stays may be required once the technician is fully trained and has a designated territory.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $83200.00
