Job Title: Field Service Technician
Job Description

Field Service Engineer – Logistics and Automation Division. Work onsite at the TSMC location in North Phoenix. No travel required for these openings.

ResponsibilitiesInstall equipment such as stacker cranes, conveyors, and AGVs.Show customers how to use new equipment, including setup and troubleshooting.Service L&A products by fixing basic electrical, electronic, or mechanical problems at customer sites.Assist customers with operation and programming issues.Perform maintenance work and assist customers as needed.Advise customers on tools and parts to order.Submit installation, service, and expense reports accurately and on time.Stay updated with new technology to train customers properly.Assist Sales, Engineers, and Project Managers when needed.Build and maintain great relationships with clients.Support higher-level Technicians to improve response times and learn new skills.Assist other technicians as needed.Essential SkillsPrior experience in electromechanics.Experience engaging with customers.Ability to read technical procedures and understand motorized products, belts, and proximity sensors.At least 1-2 years in technical field service within the semiconductor sector or relevant education (Associate's in Electromechanical Engineering, Technical School, or Military Certification) without work experience.Knowledge of electrical diagnostic tools.Familiarity with shop and hand tools.Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints, with adeptness in diagnosing and fixing electromechanical systems.Valid Driver's License.Additional Skills & QualificationsBasic understanding of electrical diagnostic tools and workshop/hand tools.Competence in diagnosing and troubleshooting electromechanical devices.Ability to identify components at the schematic level.Experience with preventive maintenance, using a multimeter, and working with motors, mechanical systems, and cleanroom environments.Work Environment

Employees must work safely in a clean room environment near moving mechanical parts and electrical systems. Occasionally, work may involve high, precarious, or confined spaces, with potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock risks, and vibrations. Noise levels are typically moderate. Candidates should be comfortable in confined spaces. Physical demands include climbing ladders frequently, occasional sitting, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees must regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Appropriate attire includes jeans and a polo shirt. The position operates on a compressed workweek schedule, alternating between 3 and 4 days of work each week, with overtime available. Candidates can specify shift preferences but should be open to being assigned to either BE or FE shifts. Initial training involves travel to Oregon for the first two weeks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
