Field Service Technician
**Job Title: Service Technician** **Job Description** Join a team building and servicing the leading innovative product that is the future of electric motors for data centers! We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team and provide exceptional mechanical support to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a high volume of mechanical bearings replacements, troubleshooting, and repair of Integrated Motor & VFD products at customer sites. You will also be responsible for documenting your work, providing technical feedback to internal teams, and developing relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction. **Responsibilities** + Conduct on-site repairs to minimize customer downtime, specifically replacing bearings on all motors. + Document all troubleshooting and repair activities. + Provide detailed service reports that support department metrics. + Install and commission integrated motor and VFD products at customer sites as the role progresses. + Conduct on-site troubleshooting and testing of integrated motor and VFD. + Provide technical feedback to internal teams, including sales, product management, operations, and engineering. + Develop strong relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical skills and proficiency with hand tools. + Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds and perform heavy labor. + Willingness to work in non-climate controlled environments at times. + Ownership attitude with high initiative. + Customer interfacing experience or ability. + Comfortable working on scissor lifts or man lifts. + Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge (e.g., checking voltage with a meter). + Power tool usage and blueprint reading skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to work varied hours as needed. + Fan balancing experience. + Troubleshooting or testing experience with VFDs. + Experience with electric motors or working within data centers. **Why Work Here?** Our company makes commercial HVAC electric motors for data centers, which are on the rise. Technicians must be open to working varying hours, with most work done during day shift hours, but occasionally in the afternoon/evening or on call. If extended or kept onboard for future work, this could include outdoor work, even on a flat roof of a commercial building. Training and some visits will take place at the corporate headquarters in Round Rock, which features clean and air-conditioned facilities and a nice break room with free coffee, refrigerated beverages, and snacks. The team is high-initiative, high work ethic, and composed of good people. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Sandston, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
