Job Title: Field Service Technician Job Description We are seeking Field Technicians/Installers to support the ERAM ES3 EAF500 installations at various FAA CONUS facilities. This role involves utilizing established processes to assist with cable assembly, equipment installation, and testing. Responsibilities + Provide Level of Effort (LOE) support to the on-site customer installation team. + Perform cable assembly, installation, and testing as per provided site documentation. + Install equipment according to the provided site plans and materials. + Participate in required meetings. + Conduct hardware installation verifications. + Ensure FAA suitability is granted prior to working at any FAA location. Essential Skills + Experience with electronics, cabling, and cable installation. + Proficiency in cable pulling and installation (preferred - or willingness/ability to learn on the job). + Minimum of 1 year of experience installing premises cabling systems, specifically CAT5 and CAT6 with RJ45 connections. + Ability to install electronic equipment at customer facilities. + Capability to lift and carry up to forty pounds. + Ability to climb ladders and work in dim lighting. + Attention to detail in following installation instructions. + Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. + Valid driver’s license. Work Environment + 2 year contract opportunity. + This position requires 100% travel on an as-needed basis to 20 Air Traffic Control Centers across the country. + Typical travel runs 1-4 weeks long at FAA facilities. (Trips to Alaska and Hawaii run on that longer side) + In reference to the "as-needed basis" work status, you may go on 1-2 trips and then have a month off before your next trip. So if you're comfortable with that kind of work schedule, this may be for you! + Candidates can be located anywhere in the country as long as they are accessible to an airport. + Work hours are from 9 PM to 5 AM (overnight shift) when on travel to a facility.
