Field Service Technician

Job description:

As a Field Service Technician, you will be a vital member of our team, responsible for providing equipment maintenance and repair services. With core skills in electrical and mechanical systems, maintenance, and troubleshooting, you will ensure the efficient operation of air quality monitoring stations (AQMS) and continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS). You will work independently on assignments that are moderately complex in which experience and knowledge are required to calibrate instruments and to solve problems. Specific Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on extractive, dilution extractive and in-situ air monitoring equipment and systems.

• Troubleshoot analysis instrumentation and support equipment, control, and metering problems and take appropriate action to correct deficiencies.

• Improve the operation of monitoring systems, instruments, controls, and metering and electrical equipment installed at customer facilities.

• Maintain records of readings and test results for all assigned equipment.

• Maintain records and files of readings and data taken during preventive maintenance.

• Perform all work according to logic diagrams, electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches, and other written instructions.

Experience and Skills Required:

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) plus years of maintenance experience traveling to client sites to work with all aspects of a CEM system.

• Familiar with and able to use various test equipment such as multi-meters, pitot tube/manometer, and electronic test equipment to calibrate and troubleshoot instrumentation.

• Experience reading electrical prints and operating manuals.

• Must have good working ability with computers and specifically MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with subordinates, peers, managers, customers and vendors.

• Ability to work out of town and overnight on scheduled and unscheduled trips.

• Able to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, and work in the elements.

• Take rotating, on-call on nights, weekends and holidays (maximum of one week per month).

• Possess a valid driver's license insurable by Company's vehicle insurance carrier.

• Successfully enroll in and maintain compliance with DISA random drug and alcohol sampling program.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr.
