Field Service Technician
**Job Title: Field Service Technician - 100% Travel** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to install, commission, and maintain our conveyor systems on-site. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical and electrical installation, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in installing conveyor equipment. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all on-site installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client. **Responsibilities** + Respond to service calls within 6 hours of initial call. + Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and be available for all service calls within the geographic region. + Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. + Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the installation and maintenance of conveyor systems. + Communicate project status, risks, and issues to the project manager and internal teams. + Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, sales, and customer service to ensure project success. + Maintain accurate project documentation and reports. + Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. **Essential Skills** + Experience working with conveyor systems. + PLC knowledge. + Understanding of mechanical and electrical aspects of conveyor systems or industrial equipment. + Experience traveling 100%. + Knowledge of pneumatics, repair, mechanical electrical, automation, S7000 Intralox Sorter, cabling, schematic, electronics, blueprint, wiring, preventive maintenance, industrial maintenance, and electrical maintenance. + Ability to install and decommission electrical systems. + Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLC, Rockwell Automation, photoeyes, and VFDs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred. + 3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical installation, specifically within the conveyor industry. + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. + Ability to work independently and in a team environment. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Willingness to travel to client sites frequently. + Physical ability to work in a field installation environment, including the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment. + Experience with basic hand and power tools. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. + Technical ability to use a mobile device such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer. + Ability to read and interpret documents such as proposals, blueprints, specifications, and procedure manuals. + Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. + Fluent in reading and writing English; understanding of Spanish is a plus. **Why Work Here?** We are a family-owned company that has been in business for over 100 years. You will work at various facilities, including Amazon, and must follow all EH&S requirements set by the facility. Safety is key! The job requires the ability to use multiple hand and power tools associated with conveyor installation, standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, and lifting items of at least 50 lbs. You must be able to climb ladders, operate a forklift and scissor lift, and practice proper safety per OSHA standards. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Clinton, Ohio. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
