**Job Title: Field Service Technician - Construction Equipment** Pay dependent on experience! **Job Description** Diagnose, service, and repair various systems on heavy equipment, including mechanical and computer electronic controls, transmissions, computer-controlled automatic transmissions, and pneumatic systems. Troubleshoot malfunctions, service and maintain speed tandem drive axles, tune diesel engines, and overhaul engines and components. **Prior experience as a Heavy Equipment Tech is essential!** **Responsibilities** + **Diagnose** and repair mechanical and computer electronic controls, transmissions, and pneumatic systems on heavy equipment. + **Troubleshoot equipment** malfunctions and perform necessary repairs. + Service track drive sprockets, rails, idler wheels, hand bars, track adjusters, hydraulic systems, reversers, final drives, brake bands, steering clutches, and hydrostatic transmissions. + Maintain and repair speed tandem drive axles with air or electric shift and heavy-duty multi-axle suspensions. + Tune diesel engines, service valves, fuel filters, turbochargers, and pressure check fuel filters. + Adjust injector heights, fuel racks, governors, and related components. + Disassemble units, repair or replace parts, and reassemble units in cooling, drive, brake, electrical, steering, heating, air conditioning, hydraulic, and air systems. + Overhaul engines, replace engines, and rebuild components. + Keep tools, equipment, and work area clean, organized, and in good working condition. + Assist in training lower-level workers in mechanical repair techniques. + Perform related work as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Proven mechanic experience with heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, paving machines, backhoes, bulldozers, dump trucks, trenchers, compactors, graders, telehandlers, backhoe loaders, tower cranes, feller bunchers, dragline excavators, wheel tractor scrapers, pile driving machines, and concrete pumps. + Experience with mechanical, diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. + Ability to troubleshoot and repair independently. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + **Experience as a shop or mobile mechanic.** + Knowledge of hydraulic systems and construction equipment. **Why Work Here?** Join a team where your expertise in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing heavy equipment will be highly valued.
