Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention by effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.The work model for the role as remote. #LI-Remote working within the Houston, TX area. This role is contributing to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division in Houston, TX.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tWorking with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points.•\tPerforming field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform.•\tPreparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.•\tActing as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers.Our team dynamicsYou will join a talented high performing} team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation and/or Electrical Engineering (OR a High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of engineering / field experience) OR Associates degree in Instrumentation and or Analyzer applied sciences Minimum of 5 years of field service experience.Up to 75% domestic travel with limited international as requiredStrong technical background in startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive, and unplanned maintenance of products including but not limited to flow, pressure, temperature, level meters and continuous water analyzers.Must have a valid drivers licenseMust have Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)We are unable to sponsor anemployment visa at this time for this role. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
