**Summary:** **Install and repair broadband communications system in compliance with company technical standards from consumer service to the exterior fiber terminal.** **Duties & Responsibilities** **Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:** + **As an FTTH Installer, you will install, terminate, and test Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) networks in residential and business locations.** + **Work with customers to ensure a smooth installation process, answer questions, and educate them about the benefits of FTTH.** + **Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to FTTH installations.** + **Adhere to all safety and quality standards.** + **Keep accurate and detailed records of all installations and maintenance activities.** + **Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with new FTTH technologies and best practices.** + **Perform new connects, reconnects, disconnects, upgrades, downgrades and change-of-service, for phone, internet or video services** + **Install and relocate outlets** + **Install interior and exterior wiring** + **Connect peripheral equipment** + **Train customers on proper use of equipment** + **Assure proper signal levels and picture quality** + **Identify causes of picture and/or signal degradation** + **Troubleshoot from consumer device to tap** + **Troubleshoot, repair and replace components from tap to consumer device** + **Assure system security by terminating unused ports and tag drops and locking pedestals** + **Understand/apply FCC and NESC technical standards** + **Identify and report all incidents of noncompliance (FCC, NESC, OSHA and WOW standards)** + **Performs network troubleshooting including ping test, trace routes and speed test.** + **Other duties as assigned** **Qualifications:** **To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
