Field Service Technician I - Philadelphia

About the role:

The Field Service Technician I is responsible for the delivery of high-quality customer service, performing preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of Hach devices located at our customer sites. The customer base for this role is anticipated to be a combination of municipal (i.e., drinking and wastewater treatment facilities) and industrial (i.e., power plants and food and beverage plants) and military installations.

This is a fully remote position that will be dispatched from your home office. This home-based role should be located in Philadelphia PA, or the surrounding area (within a 45-mile Circumference).

In this role, you will:

Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work.

Promotes a positive customer experience and serves as on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems.

Submits prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure.

Follows safe work practices according to company policy.

Executes administrative activities in support of service visits.

60-75% travel within a 2-Hour radius of Philadelphia, PA. You can expect to have up to 6-8 nights away each month with company-paid accommodations and meals.

After completion of training, your schedule will consist of 4 shifts per week at 10-hour days based on workload demand.

Are you qualified?

HS Degree Required; Associate/Technical degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience

Basic mechanical aptitude is a must - experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair is helpful, but not required

You have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record is required.

1 or more years of field service experience and/or customer-facing roles preferred

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $29.00 - $31.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
