Field Service Technician II

Honeywell\nIntelligrated is seeking to fill the role of an Experienced Sorter Rebuild\nSpecialist We are looking for someone with leadership potential that can grow\ninto a working Site Lead. You will promote safety and efficiency while working\nagainst tight schedules to successfully teardown and rebuild sorting\nconveyor.  This role is responsible to\nsupport the rebuild of Honeywell’s line sorters by following the guidance of\nthe team lead to remove, replace, and clean hardware on a variety of Honeywell\nline sorter types.   You will also be involved with inventory, staging,\nand moving hardware throughout a distribution center to support the rebuild in\naddition to clean up efforts to present a professional installation appearance.  This job involves working mostly weekends\nwithin a constrained timeline where success is judged by completing the rebuild\nin the customer provided downtime windows while presenting a professional installation\nimage.

Key ResponsibilitiesKeep Safety in forefront of all job-related effortsManually move hardware and tools to and from the job siteCarry out the mechanical rebuild of Honeywell Intelligrated line sortation equipmentCarry out mechanical modifications and parts replacement on industrial machinery Manually move hardware and tools to and from the job siteResearch, read and analyze existing equipment documentation – includes layout drawings, plan views, and electrical schematicsCoordinate with subcontractors, vendors, the implementation team and other subject matter experts, may include leading a small group of individuals to complete a task in support of a larger projectOperation of industrial lifting equipment – crane, aerial work platforms (scissor lift), and forkliftInventory and stage hardwareMechanically remove and install hardware independentlyCleaning customer equipment involved with the rebuildClean up area and present a professional appearance


YOU MUST HAVEHigh School Diploma, or equivalent. Some experience in the field.3 years of mechanical technician experienceAbility to follow directionProficiency with common metal fabrication tools (drills, saws, grinders); strong mechanical/millwright skillsetAbility to work long hours in a physically demanding roleAbility to work autonomously and have strong work ethicExperience driving forklifts, scissor lifts, and cranes; Honeywell training and certification providedGood communication skillsProficient understanding of blueprints and schematicsAbility to manage expenses and fill out expense reportsAbility to travel up to 90% of work hours over weekends (typical time off is mid-week)
