Field Service Technician - Multiple Locations
Amentum is seeking highly motivated and dedicated **Field Service Technician** to join our Tactical Network Program. As a committed team member, you are resourceful and dedicated to providing support to Army C5I programs that consist of complex communications systems that integrate with communications systems of other services and/or allies. You will provide essential support for the design, development, test, production, integration and fielding of assigned systems. **_CONUS duty sites_** **:** + Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA + Ft. Drum, NY + Ft. Cavazos (Hood), TX + Ft. Campbell, KY + Ft. Carson, CO + Ft. Liberty (Bragg), NC + Ft. Johnson (Polk), LA + Ft. Eisenhower (Gordon), GA **additional OCONUS sites not listed** **Responsibilities:** + Performs customer requirements analyses for existing or proposed Army Tactical Network system to determine feasibility and objective of requests + Assists with the design or modification of systems to include writing, debugging and testing programs and procedures + Prepares reports, schedules, data requirements, security access rules and system constraints + Provide information and decision briefs to leadership and PdM/PM leadership + Responsible for management of the hardware and software technical baselines + Responsible for resolution of technical issues surrounding the hardware and software technical baseline + Participate in COTS software evaluations and assist with system installations + Participates in studies of new and existing systems to evaluate effectiveness and assists with the development of technical reviews and reports + Provides technical representation for IPTs and other meetings + Coordinate with other internal and external stakeholders in technical matters associated with system design and overall architecture requirements + Support formal testing and associated fielding, installation, and training activities as required + Assist junior-level programmers/technical analysts with resolving work problems related to project and/or programming specifications + Prepares detailed documented requirements for selected activities (i.e., data management, CM, and program management) **Minimum Requirements:** + Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance + Understand of the engineering design, installation, operations, and maintenance of the Tactical Network architecture/program + Recent knowledge as to how NetOps planning and management is conducted while deployed in support of real world / training missions + Knowledge and understanding of current/future force tactical and strategic military communications networks, as well as the architecture, protocols, security, network management and physics underlying these systems + Position requires 25%-50% travel + For Junior Level Positions: + Requires an Associate degree in computer science or related technical degree such as Networking Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent. Two years of additional direct relevant technical experience can be substituted for education + Minimum of two years of related experience in Network Operations (NetOps) - Network Management (NM), Information Assurance (IA), Information Dissemination Management (IDM), and Electromagnetic Spectrum Management (ESM) + For Journeyman Level Positions: + Requires an Associate degree in computer science or related technical degree such as Networking Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent. Two years of additional direct relevant technical experience can be substituted for education + Minimum of four years of related experience in Network Operations (NetOps) - Network Management (NM), Information Assurance (IA), Information Dissemination Management (IDM), and Electromagnetic Spectrum Management (ESM) + For Senior Level Positions: + Requires a Bachelor degree in computer science or related technical degree such as Networking Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent. Four years of additional direct relevant technical experience can be substituted for education + Minimum of six years of related experience in Network Operations (NetOps) - Network Management (NM), Information Assurance (IA), Information Dissemination Management (IDM), and Electromagnetic Spectrum Management (ESM) + For Subject Matter Expert Level Positions: + Requires a Bachelor degree in computer science or related technical degree such as Networking Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent. Four years of additional direct relevant technical experience can be substituted for education + Minimum of Eight years of related experience in Network Operations (NetOps) - Network Management (NM), Information Assurance (IA), Information Dissemination Management (IDM), and Electromagnetic Spectrum Management (ESM) **Compensation & Benefits:** HIRING SALARY RANGE: $65k to $100k (Annual rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
