Job Overview:
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Service Management, the Director of Field Services is responsible for ensuring a client focused approach to delivering IT services to RWJBarnabas Health and its affiliates. Senior level management position provides strategic leadership and oversight of enterprise field services for RWJBarnabas Health facilities located across NJ. Works under the general direction of executive IT&S leadership. Managed the day-to-day operations of field service managers and field services analysts to ensure operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
Required:
+ Bachelor s degree or Master s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience
+ 5 years experience with IT leadership in managing large-scale enterprise-wide initiatives within a complex large-scale IT organization
Preferred:
+ 10+ years IT leadership or project management experience implementing information systems and/or large-scale and complex enterprise-wide initiatives
+ Help Desk Institute (HDI) Director/Manager certifications
Certifications and Licenses Required:
+ ITIL Foundations
+ Comp TI A+
+ Valid NJ Driver s License

Essential Functions:
+ Help lead the strategic relationship and contractual agreements with business partners and service providers
+ Strong knowledge of networking, Windows OS, IT security principles, hardware, and wireless technologies
+ Evolve and improve critical business strategies by directing the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems for field service operations
+ Significant IT Solution leadership experience leading and managing an IT Field Services team including coaching and mentoring others, assessing staff performance, and providing for professional development opportunities
+ Plan and implement technical support strategy and roadmap for IT field services teams across the system
+ Knowledge of specific security and data protection policies (HIPAA, PII, etc.)
+ Solid experience using IT Service Management and/or IT Infrastructure Library processes
+ Create and communicate reporting and analysis of KPI s and trends to identify efficiencies and areas of improvement
+ Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to identify areas for improvement and implement processes and procedures to support the IT department
+ Function as project manager for projects around desktop infrastructure (i.e., technology upgrades, new hardware, and software deployments)
+ Lead discussions at daily morning service review meetings with Sr. IT Leadership to discuss critical IT issues affecting the organization
+ Experience utilizing ITSM tools (i.e., Remedy, ServiceNow, Ivanti, SCCM, etc.)
+ Experience with procurement, asset management, patch management, and project management
+ Assist in the development and completion of organizational strategy, policies, processes, and procedures for all team members, and set professional development goals to ensure engagement and success of the field services management team
+ Work with IT security to reduce vulnerabilities and exposure to security risks
+ Strong business acumen with the ability to multi-task with multiple initiatives simultaneously and work in a challenging environment under limited supervision with excellent follow through on detailed tasks
+ Manage and maintain accurate records of IT assets including hardware, software, and peripherals
+ Implement and oversee par levels for critical IT equipment and supplies
+ Conduct regular audits to ensure asset accuracy and identify any discrepancies
+ Adhere to all policies and procedures for managing offline assets
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant asset management policies and regulations
