Field Technical Engineer - Cardiac Rhythm Management

This is a fully field-based role, requiring daily traveling across assigned territory in Flanders. As a Field Technical Engineer, you'll be a vital part of our team, responsible for servicing our existing customer base across Flanders. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting clinical procedures involving high and low voltage cardiac stimulation devices and implantable cardiac monitors. You'll attend implants, follow-ups, and troubleshoot any technical issues, ensuring seamless operation and optimal patient outcomes. This role goes beyond technical expertise. You'll also play a key role in educating medical personnel on the use of our advanced Abbott portfolio, promoting our product lines through professional support and training. You'll be a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals and contributing directly to the success of our sales team. **What you’ll do:** + Provide expert technical and clinical consultation, teaching, and support on the use of all CRM products. + Maintain up to date technical knowledge of current and new therapies and technologies within the therapy area, including competitor devices, as well as a general understanding of the dynamics of the Belgian healthcare market. + Actively collaborate with the sales team to ensure efficient sales support to CRM procedures, allowing more selling time to achieve sales quotas per plan. + Follow best practice guidelines before and after sales support. + Represent the company professionally and with the highest integrity. + Comply with the HealthCare Professional guidelines. **Required qualifications:** + You will have ideally a bachelor or university degree in a science related field. + Preferably with cardiac rhythm management/electrophysiology or equivalent clinical experience. + Cardiac anatomy and physiology knowledge would be considered as a strong asset. + Strong clinical orientation: training clinicians and providing technical assistance during procedures, including troubleshooting. + Versatile: able to advise a variety of clinician personality types. + Strong analytical skills: able to identify and resolve issues and adapt best practices across institutions. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and obtain results. + Willingness to work in cathlab’ s, operating rooms and private consultations on a flexible basis. + Dutch and English language skills are essential. + Proven track record in the clinical introduction of sophisticated therapeutic, procedure-enabling devices is a plus. + Experience with products for use in cardiology and cardiac surgery; familiarity with indirect imaging is a plus. + Professional selling skills with Medical Clinical Support experience. **What Can We Offer You** At Abbott, you can do work that matters, grow, and learn, care for yourself and family, be your true self and live a full life.
