Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Field Technician to join our team in the Dover, DE office. 
This is a great opportunity to develop a career in the Geotechnical and construction field of soil and concrete sampling, testing, and inspection. Work with a team of skilled professionals to perform field assignments while enjoying the outdoor environment. 

Responsibilities: Perform quality control review and testing for construction projects Review activities and provide oversight on a variety of construction projects within the fields of geotechnical engineering and construction Field observation, testing, and sampling of soils, concrete masonry, and steel construction Review, understand, and interpret project plans and specifications, shop drawings, product data, and RFIs Completion of field documentation in a timely manner, such as job safety analysis (JSA) forms, project field reports, field notes, soil, concrete, and asphalt datasheets, monitoring, and chain-of-custody forms Recordkeeping and maintenance of testing equipment Additional tasks may include laboratory testing of soils and concrete Operate and maintain company vehicles

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Capable of working primarily in an outdoor work environment and occasional office environment Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodation, sometimes over substantial distances Must possess a valid driver’s license Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree  0 - 2 years of experience with collecting soil, concrete, groundwater, or other construction material samples Troxler Nuclear Density Gauge Certification ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Certification ICC Special Inspector Certification (concrete, masonry, and steel) State of NJ Department of Community Affairs Uniform Construction Code Certification (DCA) NICET (Soils, Asphalt, or Concrete) AWS Certified Weld Inspector OSHA 40-Hour Certification
