Job Title: Field Tech

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Field Tech to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting data on power poles, including attachment heights and power communication details. This role requires daily travel within the state of Indiana and involves working with specialized software to ensure accurate data collection. The Field Tech must be able to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and the public, while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

ResponsibilitiesCollect data on power poles, including attachment heights and power communication details.Utilize software (Katapult) to gather pole heights, midspan information, and other relevant data.Travel daily within the state of Indiana.Complete data collection tasks safely, accurately, and promptly.Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and the public in a courteous manner.Upload and download collected data using computer systems as trained.Operate and maintain company equipment safely and efficiently.Follow company and departmental safety rules and procedures.Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean, safe work environment.Essential SkillsHigh School diploma or GED.Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new computer software efficiently.Comfortable working in the field.Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, management, and customers.Desires a team-based environment and can work cohesively with team members on a variety of projects and tasks.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.Work Environment

The Field Tech will be working out of the Indianapolis office five days a week. The office environment is small, close-knit, and quiet. The dress code is casual, but there may be customer-facing interactions. The working hours are the first shift from Monday to Friday, with flexible timing but typically from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00
