Job Description
We are looking to hire multiple Field Technicians who will be traveling to various oil and gas refineries on the West Coast. This role requires candidates to be comfortable traveling out of state for a few days up to a month at a time. Most projects last about two weeks, and travel will primarily be within the Western states. The ideal candidates will have a mechanical aptitude, with entry-level mechanics or welders being a good fit. Essential requirements include a valid driver's license, the ability to pass a physical, being clean-shaven for the respirator test, and the ability to purchase a TWIC card if not already owned.
ResponsibilitiesPerform day-to-day activities in client facilities, including both inert and non-inert confined space entries.Ensure the safety, quality, productivity, and service goals of the projects.Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, maintaining professionalism at all times.Change catalysts and clean refinery exhaust systems.Perform installation tasks using hand tools.Participate as a team member in all rescue operations.Work in immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH) confined space entry conditions.Operate and maintain company-owned or rented vehicles professionally.Maintain a clean work environment and report unusual findings in vessels.Unload and load tubular vessels.Adhere to all Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements.Load catalyst beds.Assist with cleaning and correct loading of equipment and trailers.Support Supervisors by keeping work areas clear and free of obstructions.Learn and use Life Support equipment and understand its safety factors.Wear Life Support equipment in non-inert confined space entries and gain experience for future growth.Operate retrieval devices and multi-gas portable detectors.Monitor surroundings and dangers associated with entering confined spaces.Follow all Company Quality Control/Quality Assurance procedures and processes.Perform confined space entries (non-inert).Maintain poise and focus under time constraints and adverse conditions.Attend and complete required training sessions.

Work Environment
This role involves traveling to various oil and gas refineries on the West Coast and working in very industrial conditions. You will be entering tight spaces, climbing down ladders, and working in silos. Candidates must be comfortable in confined quarters and at heights. The work environment is highly industrial with strict safety standards. Frequent travel is required, with projects lasting weeks at a time, sometimes up to a month, in locations such as California, Alaska, and Washington.
