Description
We are seeking a Field Technician that will be an extension of the Distribution Design Team in Orlando supporting the Storm Hardening program and Grid Maintenance. This position will be on the field taking data points, measurements, identifying equipment, and entering and maintaining a database. This position requires the individual to reside in the Highlands County/Lake Wales area and may occasionally require to sit in at the Operating Center in that area.
The primary work activities include:
- Performing field inspections and investigations by collecting high quality and accurate data
- This position requires a lot of walking outside through various terrain, in hot or cold weather environments.
- Utilize a tablet and other equipment (camera, phone, laser measurement tool, hasting stick, etc.) to gather and submit data points
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Accurately records and reports daily forms per project requirements
- Communicates effectively with client, contractor, staff, and supervisor
- Reviews jobsite safety daily and takes immediate action to document and resolve issues
- Accurately record and report your work each day on the forms provided
- Inspect and correct your own work before turning it in
- Perform all task assignments using required industry standards
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of Field Data Collection or relevant experience
- High School Diploma required
- Associates Degree preferred
- Must be able to travel
- Electrician/Journeyman experience a plus
- Must be able to work outdoors on various terrain, various weather and hot/cold conditions
- Must be able to lift 25lbs

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00
