Job Title: Field Technician Job Description We are seeking a Field Technician supporting storm hardening and grid maintenance programs. This role involves fieldwork, including data collection, measurements, equipment identification, and database management. The position requires residency in the Highlands County/Lake Wales area and occasional presence at the Duke Operating Center. Responsibilities + Perform field inspections and investigations by collecting high-quality and accurate data. + Walk extensively outdoors through various terrains and weather conditions. + Utilize a tablet, camera, phone, laser measurement tool, and hasting stick to gather and submit data points. + Comply with all company policies and procedures. + Accurately record and report daily forms per project requirements. + Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, staff, and supervisors. + Review jobsite safety daily and take immediate action to document and resolve issues. + Inspect and correct your own work before submission. + Perform all task assignments using required industry standards. Essential Skills + Proficiency with Microsoft Office. + Prior field technician or inspection experience. + Technical proficiency and willingness to learn. + Must reside in the Highland County/Lake Wales area. + Experience with GIS, data entry, and distribution engineering. + Knowledge of telecom, telecommunication, electrical, construction, inspection, high voltage, and utility sectors. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Electrician or Journeyman experience is a plus. + 1-2 years of relevant experience. + High School Diploma required; Associates Degree preferred. + Must be able to travel. + Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains. + Ability to lift up to 25lbs. Work Environment This role involves working outside in the field, subject to various weather conditions and terrains. You will work out of a company truck. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
