Field Test Engineer
Job Title: Field Test EngineerJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Field Test Engineer to join our team. This role involves hands-on work with cutting-edge robotics technology, performing field tests, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Responsibilities + Transport and replace equipment as needed + Conduct internal testing for engineering purposes + Create daily reports on tickets and schedule preventative maintenance visits + Execute Linux commands to gather debug information when necessary + Identify root causes of problems and repair them + Schedule visits during operating hours + Provide customer support, including troubleshooting and quick response site visits Essential Skills + Proficiency in software, hardware, and testing + Experience with troubleshooting and maintenance + Ability to execute Linux commands and debugging + Mechanical and electrical skills Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to troubleshoot problems + Improvisation skills for field issues + Note-taking and ticketing system proficiency + Assertiveness in finding and reporting issues + Capability to drive a full-sized van + Physical ability to push or lift 40 pounds, load a vehicle, or change a flat tire + Mechanically inclined + Team-oriented + Good communication skills + Flexible schedule and willingness to travel within a 30-mile range + Ability to perform live equipment demos to various group sizes + Must pass federal school clearance requirements, including fingerprinting Work Environment This position involves conducting fieldwork to test robots under various conditions. You must be comfortable working outside in all seasons. The robotics industry is rapidly growing in the Pittsburgh area, providing an exciting and dynamic work environment.
