Primary Responsibilities
Field Test Monitoring
Monitor the connected fleet of pre-production trucks on new product development projects. Work with Engineering, Design, Service, Quality, Test, and Manufacturing departments to identify and resolve field test issues. Use the field test monitoring (FTM) tool to monitor field test trucks to: identify underutilized equipment and work with Service to address with customers, identify trucks with events (i.e. diagnostics) and work with Quality, Test, and Engineering on conducting a root-cause analysis (RCA), ensure trucks are connected and maintain connection in the field, manage part and truck shipments for field test trucks, monitor and ensure field test trucks are updated with the latest software, parts, and components, and log tickets for field test issues and ensure problems are resolved timely. Provide recommendations on field test site selection and types of truck connectivity required. Monitor pre-production builds to ensure trucks are being connected in the manufacturing plants as desired. Create tools and metrics to support regular status updates and present status updates at milestone and team meetings. Collaborate with global counterparts to ensure successful field tests.
Product and Cross-Functional Support
Develop and promote consistent project materials and management practices. Perform administrative duties in supporting tools for Program Managers such as access control, organizing content, and basic troubleshooting. Coordinate shipping and receiving of international and domestic shipments. May be assigned to manage and lead the Product Development Process (PDP) for a simple or straightforward product development or introduction projects.
Communication
Act as a resource for distributing and collecting information for project support. Provide projects with necessary systems support, documentation, data entry, and assistance with project issues. Support and provide combined project reporting to the Program Management department. Develop, test, and release key reports for leadership using tools such as Microsoft SharePoint and Power-BI.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, or Engineering, along with at least 5 years’ related experience. (Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED) Occasional travel (0-5%) Occasional overnight stays (0-5%) Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business <20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during schedule workday.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in materials control management, production planning, project management, or product development environment. Experience with lift truck mechanical parts and software systems. Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to multitask. Good computer, organizational, communication and people skills. Experience with enterprise resource planning software such as SAP and project management software. Experience using tools such as JIRA, SharePoint, and Power-BI.
