Field Testing Lead Europe West (all genders)
We are looking for a skilled and visionary Field Testing Lead (FTL) (all genders) for the Europe West sub-region to join our team at Bayer. In this leadership role, you manage and develop a high-performing Field Testing team while establishing strategic capabilities that drive innovation and operational excellence. You oversee multiple breeding field testing sites across three countries, ensuring thorough product evaluation and data capture throughout the crop cycles of corn and oilseed rape for our Seeds & Traits pipelines. As a key liaison with business stakeholders, you play an essential role in fostering continuous growth within our Seeds & Traits portfolio. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You establish and maintain a strong regional team culture while influencing a sub-regional Breeding Field Testing level structure that ensures safe and efficient operation of the research program in alignment with Bayer’s HSE, Compliance, and Stewardship requirements, as well as our Business Code of Conduct and Ethics StandardsYou lead the personal development of your team members by implementing a cohesive team environment through coaching, counseling, recognition, and providing clear and timely feedbackYou are responsible for the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding process for new full-time team members when neededAs a change champion (all genders), you drive development and lead the implementation of novel innovations to enhance field testing efficiency and continuously improve data qualityYou develop and implement the regional strategy required to meet project and organizational goals, including taking over new data generation from the commercial team to ensure commercial success; furthermore, you are accountable for ensuring scientific excellence in your workspaceYou collaborate across global and regional product and technical teams while providing coaching and leadership to these various teamsYou leverage metrics to gauge team performance while sharing and incorporating best practices to further enhance data qualityYou drive continuous improvement of all agricultural practices and key processes across the region and enterprise either through direct action or through the work of your teamYou serve as a key interface with business stakeholders within the countries to ensure the delivery of expected business outcomes

You hold a master’s degree in agriculture, agronomy, life sciences, engineering, or related field with long-term experience in Agronomy, Agroscience, applied field technologyIn addition, you have several years of demonstrated people leadership experience of complex organizations and marketsYou are an expert (all genders) in financial management of budgets in Sub-Region, including forecasting, cost management, capital planning, and expendituresBroad knowledge of modern agricultural practices, industry trends and technologyDemonstrated ability to develop and implement team strategy and alignment with higher level organizational goalsYou demonstrate excellent communication skills in English, additional languages are a plus
