**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Tool Room Attendant**
**Job Summary**
The Tool Room Attendant performs any combination of the following tasks to receive, store, distribute, and requisition tools, equipment, and products within the facility.
**Essential Functions**
+ Actively support the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”
+ Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.”
+ Assist tool room in checking in/out tools, distributing consumables, and logging transactions.
+ Establish and maintain small tools and consumable inventory records.
+ Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed within record system
+ Complete requisition forms to order tools and equipment and maintain inventory records
+ Establish and prepare reports on overages, shortages or damaged tools.
+ Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
+ Perform additional responsibilities, as needed.
+ Will be utilizing the ERP system and will interact with vendors by written or verbal communication
**Qualifications**
+ Prior experience working in a heavy industrial fabrication shop environment.
+ General knowledge and experience with basic hand tools (Drills, Grinders, etc) including tool repair
+ General knowledge and experience with welding equipment (leads, torches, plasma, consumables, etc.) including repair
+ Inventory/clerical skills.
+ Basic computer skills in Word, Excel and databases.
+ Ability to work well with and support internal customers, and lead team members.
**PHYSICAL/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS**
+ Lift 50lbs without assistance
+ Climbing ladders if necessary
+ Finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination and ability to maintain balance.
+ Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and stooping;
+ Use of hand tools such as hammers, knives or wrenches.
+ Visual ability to include color vision and depth perception.
+ Work may include pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment or tools.
+ Perform all duties while wearing protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety-toed boots, hard hat, and gloves as necessary
+ Work involves standing and/or walking for extended periods of time, up to a minimum of 8 hours per day.
+ Must be able to perform tasks in hot and cold temperatures. May require working a rotational schedule, including evening or night shifts.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the DISA drug testing program.
