The Opportunity:
As a Fielding Coordinator you will support the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO- CBRND) JPEO-CBRND Medical Office.  The JPEO-CBRND manages our nation’s investments in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense equipment, and medical countermeasures battlespaces worldwide. This position requires a Secret clearance.


Responsibilities:

As a Fielding Coordinator you will:

--Serve as a liaison between the requiring office, Combat Developer, various manufacturing/support contractors, and other program offices based on their knowledge of, and experience with, the processes required to design, field, and sustain Chemical and Biological Defense (CBD) and Emergency Management (EM) equipment at installations both within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS), and within the mission and organizational structure of HQ USAF and other USAF Major Commands.

--Coordinate fielding activities with the gaining services, which may require traveling to the receiving unit locations to act as the program office representative during the fielding process and conducting an on-site 100% inventory and functional check of all equipment as deemed necessary by the Program Manager and assigned Logisticians.

--Perform fielding analyses for programs in order to provide input into Materiel Fielding Plans (MFPs), Materiel Fielding Agreements (MFAs), and development of system support packages.

--Update, track, and report the status of support strategies, fielding documentation, provisioning plans, and other integrated logistics support (ILS) documentation.

--Track fielding events by maintaining an up-to-date fielding schedule in coordination with the USAF Aircrew CBRN Combat Developer for all systems and negotiating an equipment fielding schedule with all appropriate parties.

--Participate in pre-fielding teleconferences and meetings to ensure all gaining unit questions are answered and program office requirements are met.

--Conduct aircrew continuation training, instructs aircrews on equipment use, operation, and capabilities. Conduct aircrew CBRN equipment training, instructs aircrew on Aircrew CBRN donning, doffing and contamination mitigation procedures.

--Develop lesson plans for aircrew training, safety and other required programs.

--Provide input to support development, update of training materials, technical orders, and user guides pertaining to the transition of fielded systems.

--Conduct New Equipment Training (NET) and Mobile Training Team (MTT) refresher training to deploying forces in both CONUS and OCONUS sites in coordination with the Fielding Team(s).

--Coordinate and execute fielding In-Process Reviews (IPRs) on a scheduled basis.

--Identify any issues with fielding events and recommend solutions.

--Prepare issue documents and fielding reports for higher headquarters.

--Assess reliability of fielded systems based on maintenance or field surveys

--Maintain an electronic library of:

Fielding for property accountability and compliance with policy and Department of Defense (DoD) regulationsContract deliverables, ensuring that the deliverable review process is completed monthlyCurrent maintenance manuals and Technical Orders associated with USAF Aircrew Flight Equipment.Maintain custodial files for accounts such as but not limited to supply and equipment, test measurements and diagnostic equipment

--Participate and represent the program office in various Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

--Participate in or conduct scheduled meetings to confirm and verify the status of systems fielded and their sustainment activities.

--Review, process, coordinate comments on, and track action items from various meetings.

--Research and respond to fielding inquiries and tasks.

--Coordinate the design, procurement, packaging, kitting, shipping, tracking, and installation of various Chemical Biological Defense (CBD) and Emergency Management (EM) equipment at both CONUS and OCONUS installations.

--Monitor, track, and maintain records of the changes of equipment installations.

--Work in conjunction with team leads to develop a weekly Significant Activity Report and provide that to the Joint Project Leader (JPL), Deputy JPL, and/or the Assistant JPL.




Qualifications:

Required: 

DoD Secret security clearanceBachelor’s degree in related field or four years direct experience working in similar roles, for a total of nine years of related experienceFive (5) Years of related experience in training, logistics, flight operationsPreviously attended the basic USAF Aircrew Flight Equipment or Aircrew Life Support apprentice, or equivalent DoD course.Certification as an Aircrew Flight Equipment or Aircrew Life Support Continuation Training Instructor.Knowledge of the Aircrew Flight Equipment portfolio, including associated Air Force Instructions (AFIs) and emergency egress, bailout, ejection, and parachute descent procedures.Knowledge of DoD Aircrew CBRN modernization programs, including knowledge of Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory, Hazardous Cargo preparation, Aircrew Flight Equipment shop HAZMAT processes, as well as Aircrew Contamination Control Area processes

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$68,400 - 143,700 USD
