What You Will Be Doing
As the Airframe Structural Design Manager you will impact everything from developing solutions to aircraft final finishes and mate design problems. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Development, layout, planning, and release of Engineering BTP data for the F-35 and F-22 Final Finishes and the F-35 Major Component Mate structure.
- Production and sustainment support, responding to Problem Reports, ESPaRs, QARs, ARs.
- Leadership responsibilities including mid-year and annual performance reviews, career development and direction, timekeeping, etc.
- EVMS and CAM duties, as well as project scheduling, resource loading, and technical issue resolution.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil Engineering.

- Experience in airframe structural design for military fighter aircraft.
Desired Skills:
- Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience in project schedule development and have ability to generate statements of work and basis-of-estimates.
- Experience leading a team of engineers, and ability to execute performance assessments and career development of team members.
- Familiarity with Engineering Bill-of-Materials, Change Management, and all forms of Lockheed Aeronautics Engineering forms and processes.
- Knowledge of aircraft design, assembly, and product support.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
