Collins Aerospace is looking to hire a Final Inspector IV, who will be responsible for ensuring product integrity is maintained to all requirements and performing return to service activities for aircraft components and accessories. What You Will Do

Generate Authorized Release Certificates (ARC) for multiple regulatory civil aviation authorities or Certificates of Conformance for military customersIssue scrap certificatesConduct final inspections on electric power, accessories and actuation components as well as subassembliesEnsure no defects in assembly, nor shop paperworkExamine for specified characteristics as stated in the documented informationPerform unit shakedown to check for foreign objects and loose internal hardwareMark defects and removing rejects, setting them aside for repairRead and interpret technical data such as service bulletins, component maintenance manuals, or engineering printsEnsure appropriate record keepingReview work order documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring adherence to specifications and conformance to company standards and customers’ requirementsInteract with team members and support staff as well as external customers when applicable (source inspection, external approvals, etc.)   You will be exposed to products of various weights and sizes, equipment with moving parts, and chemicals that may emit fumes

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experienceU.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here:  https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

Qualifications We Prefer

6 years experience working with aircraft components or have completed a formal training course acceptable to FAAA&P License or ability to obtain a repairman certificate under FAA 14 CFR Part 651-2 years experience in NDTExperience working with Microsoft Office
