In a collaborative, team-oriented environment, you will utilize your mechanical expertise to ensure that each aircraft meets rigorous quality standards before final inspection. You will also train and mentor junior team members, sharing your knowledge and helping to resolve any challenges that arise. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Complex Aircraft Installations:** Perform the most intricate structural and mechanical installations, ensuring all parts and assemblies meet engineering specifications and requirements. + **Documentation & Control:** Manage parts and their disposition, ensuring proper control and documentation at every step of the installation process. + **Team Leadership & Training:** Instruct and assist fellow team members in interpreting blueprints and engineering orders, and help resolve production challenges. + **Cross-Department Coordination:** Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and that all requirements are met. + **Quality Assurance:** Take responsibility for the quality and efficiency of your work, ensuring installations meet conformity and resolve discrepancies as necessary. + **Troubleshooting:** Identify and solve mechanical and structural issues, ensuring smooth operations and minimizing downtime. + **Work Area Organization:** Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, supporting FOD and 5S programs and adhering to all safety regulations. **Required Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or GED required. + 5+ years of aerospace/aviation mechanical experience (or equivalent mechanical experience, e.g., auto mechanics, heavy equipment). + Two (2) years of Company aircraft experience preferred. + A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred. + Strong understanding of blueprints, schematic diagrams, and close-tolerance work such as drilling, reaming, and ship fitting. + Ability to use multiple measuring devices with precision. + Comfortable using tools and equipment such as hydraulic mule pumps, tools, fixtures, and jigs. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as required. + Experience with Solumina and Smarteam is a plus. **Why Join Us?** At PDS Tech Commercial, we foster a culture of teamwork, growth, and innovation.
