Quanex is looking for a Finance & Accounting Intern to join our team located in Akron, Ohio.

The F&A Intern will support the accounting team with several key projects that will provide real-time corporate experience to a college student interested in careers in Finance and/or Accounting.

This internship opportunity is for the 2025 Spring Semester (Anticipated start date Jan. 2025).

What Success Looks Like:

Practice accounting knowledge and skills in a professional setting Assist Accountants and other financial professionals with day-to-day responsibilities Support accounting teams with various accounting projects and tasks Perform research on technical accounting matters, as they arise May rotate between accounting and finance departments Responsible for attending work on time and for scheduled hours each day Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Your Credentials:

In the process of completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance Have completed introductory accounting courses and have a basic understanding of financial principles Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented, dynamic and changing environment Ability to pay close attention to detail Must possess a strong customer service orientation with high sense of urgency in meeting goals and deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

The position will be paid hourly ($16.00/hr-$20.00/hr) and the hourly rate is aligned with the intern’s academic year.
